Doctors Appointment Fail!

Well, I finally had my Doctors appointment! What a failure & complete utter waste of time it was, Thinking my doctor would be proud of me, I Got NO response from him what so ever, He just sat there.. did nothing, Said Nothing, Didn't tell me where he would like me to be at, I asked him to be refereed to see a nutrionist.. Which is good, At least I got that out of him,

I tried to talk to him about something I have not even written in my blog about something I struggle with daily. What I Struggle with daily is that fact that some days I don't feel like eating at all.. I Do eat, but I have this huge GUILT over me.. I associate food with gaining weight and it scares me because I don't want to go back to the way I was before..I know that I can loose weight by eating my 3 Meals a day ect.. I'v BEEN doing it but something in my mind keeps me having this guilt over me. He really didn't say much about it.. which was stupid and kinda not what I was hoping for but.. Whatever I'll deal with it myself  I suppose lol

Besides that.. Never said anything at all.. was disappointing but whatever, I'll Go see him when I feel i'm at some sort of healthy weight, See if he says anything then..

Tonight was my first day on the job  (well second but) first day by my self :) was great I really enjoyed it :) Very easy Job Nothing to it really :) So far I only have 2 shifts a week but its a great start for me :) I work Friday/Saturday's  Not much hours but its enough to get me started!!

I feel like things in my life are taking great turns for me.. Great things are happening I couldn't be more happier :)

  1. I used to see an APRN who was the same way...note the USED TO. I went in after losing like 30 pounds and she was like "Well you're still MORBIDLY OBESE". And I was like, ummm thanks for being helpful bitch.

Just know that you ARE doing this. You need to eat to lose weight. It's WHAT you eat that makes the difference. You are awesome Monica! And I can't wait to hear what the nutritionist reccomends! Would you mind sharing any tidbits of wisdom?

Hang in there because you look awesome and you rock! I'm a nurse, I can tell you that doctors are assholes sometimes *more often than not*. So don't let it get you down!

  2. Hey where do you live? If your in America then dump your ass DR and get a new one. That is so crappy not having some form of acknowledgement for your sucess. Forget that. You need to find a DR who is caring and gives a care about you. When I lived in Canada I wouldnt be able to change Dr's etc but now that im in the USA its a different story. You are doing fantastic and you need people on your side.
    Go team Monica!!!!!

  4. Doctor is a DICK. Think about mentioning those feelings to your nutritionist because they can become something serious. I used to be bulimic and trust me when I say it is a fact, not all and not even the majority of people with eating disorders are underweight. It's not that I think you're anorexic or bulimic or anything, but I totally understand that your feelings are hard to control and I hope for your health and happiness' sake it doesn't go to far in the other direction :( you're doing wonderfully and I'm so happy to see your new job is going well for you. Hope you're enjoying your weekend :)

    1. Thank you so much, I agree, Definitely not at that point but I fear that it could get to that point if the feelings can not be controlled! I'll speak to the Nutritionist as soon as I get the call :)

  5. i am with everyone else -- time for a new doctor! i see a NP & she is AMAZING! she has cheered me on every step of the way -- so much so that she is joining weight watchers (she just had her first baby) in a few weeks.

as far as the guilt -- i am a firm believer that whether your are overweight or anorexic we are all suffering from an eating disorder. we associate food as something other than food -- whether it be comfort, guilt, or something entirely different.
you are right to be concerned & i would definitely talk to someone about it. i have fought with the same battles myself & the only thing that helped me overcome it is to address it with someone professionally!
i wish ya all the luck -- go out & seek someone who will have your back & help you -- you deserve it sweets!

    xxoo

  11. Your nutritionist will be the best one to talk about this with. I just started seeing one and she has been very helpful. Good work so far and keep it up!!!
